Charente

An integral part of the New-Aquitaine region, the Charente is the ideal place to combine activities and idleness. Especially with the numerous natural sites in the Charente, the parks and gardens to visit but also all the unusual tourist itineraries or walks to do that will give you the opportunity to navigate on one of the most beautiful rivers in France, bearing the same name as the department it crosses: the Charente. The Charente is made up of main towns such as Angoulême or Cognac, from where the world famous production of Cognac comes from.
