It was an incredibly productive day working alongside our business partners, DragonFly Media, at the stunning Manoir situated near the captivating town of Duras in Lot et Garonne. This remarkable property holds historical significance as it was once owned by Norman Douglas Hutchinson, a renowned British royal painter. Hutchinson, originally from Calcutta, led a fascinating life, painting portraits for esteemed individuals such as the Royal family. In one of his most notable works, he depicted the Queen Mother wearing the famous Kohinoor diamond, symbolizing her former status as Empress of India. This particular painting catapulted his fame and fortune. For many joyful years, he resided at this Manoir in close proximity to Duras, chronicling his experiences in his autobiography, titled “A Hand to Obey the Demon’s Eye.”
