I wanted to write you a brief note on behalf of my spouse, Miranda, and myself, to compliment Jane Vernon on her professionalism during the course of our rather lengthy sale.   There were quite a few hurdles our buyers had to get over to make the closing happen, and throughout the process, she remained calm, informative and positive.   The fact that she brought us our ultimate buyers within days of having listed the property was a small miracle in itself, and to then introduce us to Maitre Brice Lagier and his notarial team, was icing on the cake.   We would gladly recommend her safe pair of hands to any prospective “Seller”.   Sincerely yours

As you are no doubt aware we recently sold our property in the GERS through Maxwell Baynes. It was a long process with the buyers wanting up to 15 months to complete the transaction but ultimately it only took 11 months. Throughout the selling process, we were lucky to have Martin Sheach as our assigned estate agent. Martin brought to the table a great deal of professionalism, advice and always in a friendly and engaging manner. Martin travelled back and forth to our house on numerous occasions showing around potential buyers and I think we counted at least 30 people in total over that period. It was a tough sale at times but Martin kept calm, collected and persistent in assisting us in navigating the French property sale process (and a slow Notaires) to ensure there were no pitfalls. The sale was completed on the 21st October. Martin gave valuable guidance to us on how we could successfully sell our furniture and other chatels (that the buyers did not want) which we were extremely grateful to him. That saved us a lot of time and money in removal costs. He supported and communicated with us right to the finalisation of the sale including offering up money transfer services through Magna Financial (which was excellent) down to taking the final meter readings etc. Both Jayne and I consider Martin not just our Estate Agent but now a friend. We do hope to return to Bordeaux next spring and will take the opportunity to buy him lunch or dinner for his strong performance in the sale. All the best

We worked with Kirsten Pollard for quite some time since the sale of our property was pretty challenging. Indeed the chateau had a large size as well as the park and lands around.. It consequently required a high and costly level of maintenance. Kirsten Pollard showed excellent marketing skills , with a highly professional website presentation and a first class video of the property. We were particularly impressed by Kirsten Pollard’s involvement to attract potential buyers, then in the negotiation , finally in the closing, and even after the sale itself. The dedication was second to none. She was never afraid to allocate all the necessary time, coming back to old potential buyers when the market conditions had changed, travelling to our property whenever she had potential clients who had already visited the property numerous time but being still undecided. We saw her capacity to focus on all the details, not only for the sale of the property itself, but as well for the inventory and valorisation of the furnitures. All these qualities allowed a successful sale to take place, eventually, in a difficult market for sellers of this type of property.
