“Gestes Alchimiques”: A Collective Exhibition in Bordeaux Honouring the Spiritual Quest
From 20 June to 10 October 2025, Galerie REVEL unveils “Gestes Alchimiques”, a collective exhibition featuring the works of four female artists: Tiffanie Delune, Kartini Thomas, Alymamah Rashed, and Olivia de Posson. Their creations reflect deeply personal spiritual quests. Each artist transforms their own stories, wounds, and sensitivities into what Vassily Kandinsky described as “vibrations of the soul” in his book Concerning the Spiritual in Art.
These dreamlike compositions evoke universal resonances, immersing viewers in a journey through ancestral wisdom and collective memory. The exhibition invites us to reframe our worldview, offering an alternative to materialist philosophies.
In the tradition of spiritual alchemy, the quest for the Great Work translates into a slow, profound transformation of the inner “Self”. Here, pigments, textiles and stoneware take the place of sulphur, lead and gold—elements of classical alchemy. Artistic gestures become intimate, liberating and purifying rituals.
In response to today’s global crises—climate destruction, overconsumption, and social fragmentation—these practices sketch out new horizons of reconnection and re-enchantment. The works align with the legacies of pioneering figures like Hilma af Klint, Anna-Eva Bergman, or Joan Mitchell, where material and spirit converge.
Featured Artists in Our Exhibition in Bordeaux
Tiffanie Delune: Dream Cartographies and Intimate Narratives
Of French and Belgo-Congolese heritage, Tiffanie Delune is a self-taught visual artist currently based in Montpellier.

Her piece Silence Talks (2022) is a testament to her exploration of storytelling through painting, collage, and drawing — an invitation to emotion and conversation. Initially focused on trauma and childhood, her work has since evolved toward universal stories, where symbols, celestial forms, and organic shapes converse in a singular aesthetic.

Her work Cartography of the Heart, VI (2025) is exhibited here in Bordeaux, following shows in London, Paris, Lagos and Los Angeles. She has been featured by Forbes, BBC Radio London, Contemporary And, The Financial Times and Artsy, and her work is part of prestigious collections, including the Gandur Foundation for Art in Geneva and the Alexandra Cohen Hospital in New York.
Kartini Thomas: Intuitive Sculptures and Contemporary Mythologies
An American artist living between Toulouse and Île d’Oléron, Kartini Thomas sculpts porcelain and stoneware to bring to life a universe of teeming, curious creatures. A graduate of École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris and Reed College in biology, she combines scientific inquiry with artistic creation, exploring themes of biodiversity, mutation, and the unknown.

Through a playful yet precise approach to ceramic materials and glazes, Kartini encourages viewers to let go of expectations and embrace the wonder of new life forms—like a “mad scientist” imagining joyful new species.
Her inspiration comes from microbiology and travel—especially the sensation of being a stranger or “alien”—a disorienting yet liberating feeling she expresses through tactile and visual immersion.

Alymamah Rashed: Mystical Landscapes and Hybrid Identities
Alymamah Rashed, a visual artist from Kuwait, uses her work to navigate questions of identity, the female body, and the natural world. Drawing inspiration from regional folklore, everyday objects, and botanical treasures, she bridges East and West in poetic and engaged narratives.

She holds an MFA from Parsons School of Design (2019) and a BFA from School of Visual Arts, New York (2016). Her work has been shown in New York, including at the Czech Center, Parsol Projects, and The New School.
Alymamah has received numerous accolades, including the Kuwaiti Ministry of Higher Education merit scholarship and a residency sponsored by the American-Arab Chamber of Commerce.

Olivia de Posson: Energy Transmission and the Alchemy of the Heart
Describing herself as an “energy artist,” Olivia de Posson uses color as a medium of vibrational information. Guided by heart-centered intuition, she transforms the emotional depths of her life journey into radiant, abstract harmonies.

Her creative process draws on the idea of the “HeArt”—a space beyond duality and judgment—where blocks and illusions dissolve into a state of grace. Each painting becomes an expression of love and spiritual unity.
Her acrylic paintings are infused with water’s vibrational memory, echoing the research of Masaru Emoto, and serve as subtle channels of healing and energetic transmission.
Through vivid and luminous artworks, Olivia invites viewers to a deep inner journey of awakening and transformation.
