Majid Hejaj was born in Rabat, Morocco. From an early age, he developed a deep interest in hospitality, service, and human connection. After completing his studies at Glion Institute in Switzerland—an international reference in luxury hospitality—he began a professional journey defined by excellence and cultural openness.
His passion for travel and his affinity for exceptional places led him to management positions in world-renowned hotels such as the Ritz Paris and the Royal Palm in Marrakech, where he developed strong expertise in bespoke guest service. He also chose to immerse himself in more intimate environments, such as the Monastero Santa Rosa, a hidden gem on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, where he further honed his approach to personalised and authentic hospitality.
These diverse experiences, in both grand and discreet settings, shaped a vision of service rooted in quality, discretion, and genuine attention to detail.
In search of a new life balance—blending professional ambition with family aspirations—he settled on the Île de Ré, drawn by its unique atmosphere, preserved heritage, and peaceful rhythm of life. Together with his wife, who also comes from a background in luxury hospitality, he co-founded Ré Expériences, an independent agency specialising in high-end seasonal rentals. Today, the agency manages a portfolio of over 50 prestigious villas on the island.
Through Ré Expériences, Majid brings his hotel expertise, service mindset, and in-depth knowledge of the island to both homeowners and guests, always with a deep respect for the local environment. His mission: to help others discover the Île de Ré in a new light—with elegance, simplicity, and authenticity.
