About Ellyn and Majid

Based on the Île de Ré with their three young children, Ellyn and Majid assist French and international clients with their property projects at Maxwell-Baynes | Christie’s International Real Estate.

Brought together by their backgrounds in luxury hospitality and a shared passion for welcoming guests and the art of living, they have developed an in-depth understanding of character properties, the expectations of an international clientele, and the distinctive qualities that make a place truly special.

Ellyn and Majid offer their clients a comprehensive, personalised service designed to simplify every stage of their property journey on the Île de Ré. From buying or selling a property to seasonal rentals, property management and owners’ concierge services, they provide a truly turnkey solution.

Combining their expertise in real estate, luxury hospitality and villa management, they are able to support their clients well beyond the transaction, ensuring the long-term enhancement, care and management of their property assets.

Career

Having studied respectively at Vatel in Paris and Los Angeles, and at the Glion Institute in Switzerland, Ellyn and Majid have built their careers within prestigious establishments including the Ritz Paris, Four Seasons Hotel George V, The Peninsula in Paris and Beverly Hills, Royal Palm in Marrakech, and Monastero Santa Rosa on the Amalfi Coast.

Their experience in hotel management, project management and the launch of luxury villas naturally led them to embark on an entrepreneurial venture together.

In 2020, they founded Ré Expériences, an agency specialising in luxury holiday rentals and villa management on the Île de Ré, which now assists property owners and guests across approximately fifty properties.

Drawing on their experience of the local market and their intimate knowledge of second homes, they now bring their expertise to property projects, from searching for the perfect home to managing its sale, with an approach built on listening, trust and meticulous attention to every property.

Beyond Work

Their decision to settle on the Île de Ré was, above all, a family lifestyle choice. As parents of three young children, they particularly appreciate places that welcome all generations, family-friendly addresses, homes that open onto the outdoors and simple experiences that bring them closer to nature.

With a deep appreciation for the island’s preserved heritage, landscapes, villages and unique pace of life, they share a particular affinity for properties that tell a story and offer far more than a place to live: a genuine art of living, passed down from one generation to the next.
