Christie’s International Real Estate Bordeaux luxury real estate goes to Athens. Although it will not be long before Maxwell-Baynes can celebrate 20 years since its launch in 2008, to celebrate 100 years is a remarkable achievement by any standards.
Ploumis Sotiropoulos invited Maxwell-Baynes co-founders, Karin Maxwell and Michael Baynes, to Athens at the end of June 2024 to celebrate their 100 years anniversary together with many of the leaders and owners of the (mostly) European affiliates of Christie’s International Real Estate.
While the 100 year celebrations dominated the two day itinerary and speeches, those present took the opportunity for networking, private meetings and discrete conversations about some of the most coveted luxury real estate in the world that is represented by the Christie’s International Real Estate affiliates present. It cannot be overestimated how valuable it is to spend time building trust and discussing ideas with other luxury real estate leaders who in turn hold the trust of some of the most important international real estate investors and buyers considering acquisitions into other markets.
A private tour of the air-conditioned Acropolis Museum was a welcome break from the 40-degree heat of the day. The artifacts, history and legends on display at the museum transitioned the guests into an evening of celebrations that were held on the museum terrace under the Acropolis.
Day two was held at the magnificent Zappeion building in the National Gardens at the very heart of Athens. Yannis Ploumis of Ploumis Sotiropoulos welcomed the Christie’s International Real Estate affiliates as well as over 1000 guests and clients for what was certainly the event of the Athens social calendar.
Maxwell-Baynes congratulates Ploumis Sotiropoulos and looks forward to the day that we can celebrate a century as leaders in the Bordeaux luxury real estate market.
