Last Tuesday, November 8, we had the pleasure of celebrating the opening of Catherine Clancy’s art exhibition at our Bordeaux agency around a cocktail dinner.
Catherine Clancy is an Anglo-Irish painter and sculptor. Catherine holds a PhD in Philosophy and Fine Art from UOAL and studied at Central St. Martin’s, London, and in Paris as the pupil of Jean Touret, sculptor of the altarpiece at Notre Dame. Her work is known for exploring the creation of beauty from the immaterial and the « call » to the other. The exhibition, entitled “Reforesting the Soul”, draws its inspiration from poetry. In this recent body of work, poetry acts as « the other ». As the artist says, “The painting is the response to the poem”.
Catherine has captured the essence of each poem through her paintings. Each work exhibited is accompanied by the poem that inspired it, thus highlighting the deep link between artistic creation and poetry.
During this artistic evening, a competition added a fun note to the event, and it was with enthusiasm that we congratulated Lucas, the big winner who left with a magnificent large-format work of art. It is worth noting that each creation by Catherine Clancy is available in different high-quality print formats, providing art lovers with various options to integrate these exceptional works into their personal space.
